I am an accomplished educator and communications professional, specializing in Public Relations and Cross Cultural Marketing, with a focus in equity, diversity and inclusion. I have championed for children, women and families for over 12 years and have dedicated my life to amplifying the voices of those who are often unheard. I am committed to ensuring organizations not only present themselves morally, but foster equitable environments for their employees and effectively serve the communities that support them with a greater impact.

Educator

I have served in the fields of education and child development for over 10 years in various capacities, such as Behavioral Specialist, Violin Instructor, Head Swim Coach and Classroom Teacher. While doing so, I serve on the Culturally Relevant Curriculum Think Tank and the Committee for Excellence through Equity in Education where I integrate research based DEI strategies and best practices into educational resources for students, administrators, teachers, families, and the community at large.

Community

Development

As a member of a historically Black Greek-lettered organization, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, I have served in a multitude of capacities on all levels, local, regional and international as both a member and executive board member throughout my 12 years of service. I have spearhead local, regional and national initiatives while fostering and maintaining lasting partnerships with corporate entities, government agencies, and community organizations throughout the nation.

Wanderlust

I thoroughly enjoying learning about new cultures and exploring new cities across the globe. The cultural exchange that occurs when traveling with intention brings me great joy. It allows me to be a true global citizen and approach all endeavors with a multidimensional lense. Aside from the learning experience, traveling also allows me the opportunity to take a fun 'jump pic' wherever I go.

Creative

Dog Mom of 2

In my spare time, I can be found letting my creative juices flow by either painting, finding a reason to use power tools, or tending to my girls, Madame Scruffles and Stella Okoa. My love for animals began as a young child as my father shared his love for animals having grown up on a large farm in the countryside of Jamaica.
